Double Dhamaal 2011:
Double Dhamaal is a 2011 Bollywood comedy film and a sequel to the 2007 film Dhamaal. The project stars most of the actors from the original, with new additions including Mallika Sherawat, Kangna Ranaut, Satish Kaushik and Zakir Hussain. It is directed by Indra Kumar and produced by Ashok Thakeria. It was released on 24 June 2011. The theatrical trailer of the film was revealed on 20 May 2011 along with the film Haunted.
A third installment to the trilogy was announced at the end of the film under the title of Total Dhamaal.

Double Dhamaal Review:

The film continues-on with the story of Dhamaal, as the four good-for-nothing jokers, Roy (Ritesh Deshmukh), Adi (Arshad Warsi), Manav (Jaaved Jaaferi) and Boman (Aashish Chaudhary) are still dreaming a rich life with money for doing absolutely nothing! They earn som hard-cash by fooling people. When they get caught, and chased into the main-road, where they witness their old-arch enemy Kabir (Sanjay Dutt) who is no longer a cop, but a millionaire with a beautiful wife Kamini (Mallika Sherawat) and lovely sister Kiya (Kangana Ranaut). The four friends sneak into Kabir’s bungalow, and witness him talking to another women on the phone, and by using Kabir’s iPhone, they record it and start blackmailing him into becoming his partners. But it turns out, Kabir, Kiya and Kamini are planning to con the four jokers and leave the state. In order to get half of the money in Kabir’s business, the four friends find an investor, Batabhai (Satish Kaushik) who lends them money, but they get a shock only find out Kabir and his agendas have looted the money and flee.
Now Bata is also after them. Incidently, with the help of another gangster, Mohsin Bhai (Zakir Hussain) they also flee to Macau, where they see Kabir, Kamini and Kiya living in a lavish villa, driving a Chrysler 300C/Limo, and created their own casino titled “The Four Jokers”. They then make a plan to get-up in different disguises and get their money back. They impersonate Ghanta Singh, Lee, Heera Bhai, Jojo, Dodo, Barbara Gori, Tukya Kaale, and even a Gorilla. After all their shenanigans are over, Kiya and Kamini have already left Kabir according to their plan. They then get Kabir drunk and reveal everything they were doing, until the lights go off and on a projector plays a video showing the four stealing the money. Confused, the four wonder who taped it, if Kamini and Kiya left, and Kabir was drunk, who would it be?
Then, its revealed that it was Kabir, Kamini, Kiya, Mohsin Bhai and even Batabhai involved in Kabir’s plan. Kabir then takes his money back, and calls King of Casino Johnny Bonzela (J. Brandon Hill), who believes they stole his money. The four jokers are on-the-run trying to hide from Johnny and his men, and before the ending, Roy breaks the fourth wall by admiting that Kabir played Double Dhamaal with them, the four friends will return and do Total Dhamaal with him in the third installment.

Ready 2011:
Ready (Hindi: रेडी) is a 2011 Indian comedy film directed by Anees Bazmee, starring Salman Khan and Asin in the lead roles. Ready Review:
The film starts with Prem (Salman Khan), who just helped his neighbour’s daughter Khushi (Zarine Khan) to elope with someone else. This angers their neighbour, Mr. Phatak (Mithilesh Chaturvedi) and Prem’s family: The Kapoors. But then, Prem’s family decide to search for a bride for Prem. But Prem arrives with his uncle at the airport in the wrong terminal, to make an excuse that Pooja, his to-be-wife, did not show up. However, a girl named Sanjana (Asin), who just ran from her own wedding, overhears Prem’s plan to escape from Pooja, when she was hiding at the airport. Since nobody from Prem’s family knew Pooja, Sanjana pretends to be Pooja herself, and wins the hearts of the entire Kapoor family, except Prem, who gets frustrated with her.
Meanwhile, Sanjana’s uncles, Amar Choudhary (Akhilendra Mishra), and Suraj Choudhary (Sharat Saxena), who are rivals, and trying to get her married with their own brother-in-laws, and are trying to search for her and with whom she has ran away. Suraj Choudhary takes help of Mr. Lehri (Sudesh Lehri), to get to know who ran away with Sanjana, when he had given her and Prem a lift in his car in the jungle, where Prem, while driving the car, put Suraj Choudhary’s son, Aryan into comma.
But by then, Prem finds out Sanjana’s true identity, and she reveals about her uncles trying to get her married. Later, he falls in love with her, and decides to marry her. She later gets taken away by Suraj Choudhary, and the rest of the Kapoor family find out that she is Sanjana. Prem tells her just to be with her uncles, and will find a way to marry her, and also put her family back together.
He pretends to be the nephew of a chartered accountant Balidaan Bhardwaaj a.k.a Bali (Paresh Rawal), and tells both her uncles not to get Sanjana married to their own nephews, but to the daughters of America’s billionaires K.K Modi and B.K Modi. What the Choudharies and Bali don’t know is that K.K and B.K Modi are actually Prem’s dad and uncle in disguise, and Prem also gets the rest of his family to play various characters to trick Sanjana’s family into letting her marry Prem. Prem also manages to change the family’s negative attitude.
But on the wedding day, Aryan comes out of comma, and even reveals the truth about Prem’s plan. But Prem tells the uncles how Sanjana’s late mother wanted her uncles to get Sanjana married, hoping her uncles wouldn’t be rivals any more. Later, the Chaudharies apologise for their bad behaviour.
The movie ends with Prem and Sanjana getting married and their wedding picture being taken with the Kapoors and Chaudharies.

Naughty @ 40 Review:
Naughty @ 40 is a sex comedy, where Govinda plays the role of a 40-year-old virgin. Naughty @ 40 is inspired by The 40 Year Old Virgin and has been adapted to suit the Indian sensibilities. This film marks a comeback of the actor to the film fraternity.

Govinda plays the role of a 40 year old virgin who lives in London with his parents (Anupam Kher and Smita Jaykar) and cousin (Harish). Father is worried for his son, who is still a virgin and seeks help from his employee (Shakti Kapoor). However, all the efforts to make Govinda lose his virginity turns futile.

The family leaves for Manali, when Govinda gets married to a girl (Yuvika Choudhary) who is much younger to him. However, Yuvika is full of childish pranks, which result in Govinda getting involved in a physical relationship with a foreigner. Yuvika gets a shock when she discovers the truth. This incident brings a change in her attitude towards her husband, Govinda.

Plus Points

The director of Naughty @ 40, Jaghan Mundhra is usually known for his serious films, but with this film he proves his hand in comedy too. Though the film seems senseless at many places, there are a few instances which are actually funny, like a scene where Govinda talks about camel, elephant, flies and dogs mating.

The songs in Naughty @ 40 are extra add-ons. The track ‘Thoda Tum Adjust Karo’ holds the appeal of the audience. Cinematography is okay. Manali is a visual treat in the film. The film has everything that one expects a Govinda type film to have.

Govinda is as usual out standing when it comes to handling a comedy film. His comic timing cannot be matched by anybody. Yuvika is a surprise. Anupam Kher and Shakti Kapoor are equally funny. Harish is okay and Sayali Bhagat has a cameo role in the film.

Loopholes

Though the film belongs to the sex comedy genre, the film sometimes tends to cross the border and turns out to be vulgar. The film caters to people who can catch the naughty an vulgar jokes and are comfortable with skin show.

Over All

Over all Naughty @ 40 targets the mass audience who relish saucy and naughty jokes!

Thank You Review:

Sanjana (Sonam Kapoor) married to Raj (Bobby Deol). When Sanjana starts to get suspicious of Raj having an affair, she goes to her friend Maya (Celina Jaitley) for help. Maya takes her to Kishan (Akshay Kumar), a private detective who helped her catch her husband Yogi (Suniel Shetty). Kishan shows Sanjana Raj’s phone records to show her all the girls he talks to, but she doesn’t believe him and walks out. Kishan and Maya decide to have Sanjana catch Raj red-handed. Kishan invites all of Raj’s girlfriends to the same party. Raj sees them and asks his friends Yogi, and Vikram (Irrfan Khan) to help. They try to keep the girls away, but as one tries to kill herself, Raj goes to talk to her. The girl starting saying “kiss me darling”. Sanjana gets mad and is about to walk away when Raj says that she’s really saying ‘Kiss-na’ because that’s her boyfriends name. In an affort to save Raj, Vikram shows up and starts explaining that he is her ‘Kiss-na’. He goes on and on about how he really loves her and that he wanted to marry her but shouldn’t. Kishan seeing that his plan was about to be runied brings Vikram’s wife, Shivani (Rimi Sen). Once Vikram sees her, he says he was lying in order to save a friend. He signals Yogi over and tries to pass him off as ‘Kiss-na’. Yogi refuses saying that he’s already had many affairs and that his wife Maya will only forgive him so many times. Yogi tells them that’s this is his 11th affair. Sanjana and Shivani get mad and walk away with their husbands leaving Yogi with the girl. Yogi sees that no one’s around and kisses her because she keeps saying ‘kiss- na’ thinking its still Raj.
Vikram and Raj figure out that someone must be helping Sanjana spy on Raj because he finds his phone bill in her purse. They ask for help from K.D., a Canadian Security Intelligence Service officer that rents their yachts. He refuses saying that the job is beneath him. He tells them hire a private detective. Vikram and Raj go to Kishan for help not knowing that he’s the guy helping Sanjana. Kishan agrees to help. Yogi goes to talk to Sanjana begging her not to tell his wife. She asks why he doesn’t stop and change his ways. He says that if she heard his story, it would bring tears to her eyes. As Yogi is telling Sanjana his story, Kishan films them but changes what Yogi is saying to make it seem like he’s the one who’s been telling Sanjana about Raj’s affairs. Kishan shows the tape to Vikram and Raj. They get really mad and break the camera. Yogi calls them and Vikram tells Raj to play it cool. Raj answers the call and asks where Yogi is. Yogi explains that he’s going to a hotel to meet Sweety, his Swiss girlfriend because she’s getting married next month and probably won’t be able to see each other again. Yogi asks them to cover for him in case his wife calls. They tell him they’ll cover for him but as soon as they hang up, they call Maya.
Maya goes to the hotel and catches him. She takes his clothes and leaves, leaving him with just the bathrobe from the hotel. As she’s leaving Yogi sees Vikram and Raj in the lobby. He tells them that’s he’s been ruined and they tell him that they’re the ones who told Maya. Yogi doesn’t understand why and Vikram and Raj show him the film Kishan gave them. He tries to explain that even though its his voice and he did talk to Sanjana, he didn’t say all those things. Vikram and Raj don’t believe him and leave saying that their friendship is over. As they’re leaving, Yogi hits Vikram and Raj’s car which hits another that turns out to be King’s, a gangster, car. King tells his people to find out who’s car it is. Vikram gets worried but Raj says its okay because even though its their car, it’s registered in Yogi’s name. Kishan suggests that they go play golf. Raj says that Kishan and Vikram can go but he’s going to go play a different game. Raj goes to one of his girlfriend’s place and as he’s singing her the song he sings every woman, her husband shows up. She explains that last week he caught her with another guy and shot him. She tells Raj to hide on the balcony.
As he’s trying to hide, people on the ground see him on the balcony thinking he’s trying to jump and kill himself. Kishan then calls the husband and we come to know that he hired them to pretend to be husband and wife. Kishan has called the police and media saying that a guy is trying to commit suicide. The media starts reporting the news and soon its on all the channels. Yogi sees and becomes happy because he thinks Raj will finally get caught. Vikram and Shivani see and Vikram tried to pass it off as the media trying to get even because they wouldn’t give them a free yacht. Kishan calls Sanjana and says sorry and that her husband is a really nice guy. In fact, he’s so nice that his niceness is all over TV. Sanjana sees the story and is hurt to find out her husband is cheating on her. Raj calls Vikram and tells him that he can’t go home and he’s going to hide out somewhere but he’ll meet Vikram at the bay in the morning.
Vikram tells Raj that it must be Yogi’s planning and that Raj could have been more careful now that he’s their enemy. Raj is worried about what to do next but Vikram has a plan that will make Sanjana proud of him. Kishan calls Sanjana to see how she’s doing and she calls him an idiot and tells him not to call her again. He follows her to the movies the next day. She tells him she say the news but he didn’t see what she saw after that. She tells him that Raj is a great man and leaves. Kishan is standing there confused about how a half naked man caught with another woman could be great. He knows that Vikram and Raj must have done something and he plans to find out what it is. He goes to Yogi to find out how Raj was saved. Yogi says it was Vikram’s idea along with K.D. Yogi says that K.D. is his friend and told him everything. Yogi explains that K.D. helped them and took Sanjana to headquarters. Vikram pretends to be an officer and takes Sanjana to Raj. When he sees Sanjana coming, Raj starts talking about quiting. …………..

Manoj ‘Manu’ Sharma (R. Madhavan) is a NRI Doctor living in London. He comes back to India on family pressure to find a bride to be and get married. He begins meeting a few girls with his parents and his friend Pappi (Deepak Dobriyal). The first in line to be met is Tanuja ‘Tanu’ Trivedi (Kangna Ranaut). At the meeting time, her parents claim that she is ill, and has taken tablets which have made her drowsy. While Manu talks to her, he finds out that she is asleep, thereby not listening to him at all. Upon seeing her, he falls in love with her, and says to his parents that he is willing to get married to her. While on a trip together, Tanu takes him away from their family members, and says that she had intentionally taken five tablets to fall asleep, therefore trying to get rejected by him. She tells him in a rather vulgar language that she loves someone else, and that she has his name tattooed on her breasts. She was also seen sking. She demands that Manu rejects her. Manu considers the odds, and though he loves her, he asks his father to announce that he cannot marry her.
Weeks pass, and Manu sees different girls, but could not forget Tanu. Of all the girls, he meets Ayushi (Neha Kaul), who has trouble using her left hand, and her brother Raja (Jimmy Shergill), a small goon. When Raja asks him about his thoughts of getting married to his sister, Manu says that he does like Ayushi, but can’t marry her because he loves someone else.
Though Manu decides to return to London, Pappi tells him that their friend Jassi (Eijaz Khan) is getting married, and asks him to come to Punjab with him. Upon arriving, Manu finds out that Tanu is present there, and she is a friend of Payal (Swara Bhaskar), Jassi’s bride-to-be.
Over the course of few days, he becomes close to Tanu, but their new friendship is shattered when Tanu’s parents arrive, and Tanu thinks that Manu called them. Due to this, Manu decides to return back. However, Tanu realizes her errors, and asks him not to leave, as her lover is coming torrow, and she wants help in eloping and marrying him.
As it turns out, Tanu’s lover is Raja. They are about to be married, but are not able to find a pen to sign the papers. Though Manu has one, he lies about not having it, and the marriage is postponed. Raja confesses that he doesn’t want to be married this way, but no one in Tanu’s family will accept him, that’s why they are eloping. Manu talks to Tanu’s father, and convinces him to accept Raja.
During Tanu’s wedding preparations, Tanu sees Manu’s wedding gift (A poster made up of her pictures Manu had taken on different occasions), but does not realize that he loves her. Raja is not able to buy Tanu a wedding dress due to time shortage, so he asks Manu to help him out. After Manu gets Tanu her dress, he confesses to Tanu that he did had a pen, but did not want her to be married, that is why he lied. At that precise ment, Raja appears, and takes Tanu with her. Now Tanu has mixed feelings, and after reaching home, when she confirms with Manu that he loves her, she decides to marry him, not Raja.
Raja, however, is not willing to call off the wedding, and says to Tanu’s father that if the wedding does not take place, he will kill him. Manu still prepares for the wedding. By bribing the Inspector, the family of Tanu get Raja arrested. However, Raja arrives to the wedding place at the same time as Manu, and he threatens to kill him. Manu however refuses to be scared and proceeds with Tanu for the wedding. It is then when Raja realizes that Manu is the right choice for Tanu, and allows them to get married.

Dum Maaro Dum (Hindi: दम मारो दम) is a 2011 Hindi crime thriller film directed by Rohan Sippy and starring Abhishek Bachchan, Rana Daggubati, Bipasha Basu and Prateik Babbar. Dum Maaro Dum Review:
The film starts with a footballer, Lorry (Prateik Babbar), who along with his girlfriend gets admission into an American college. But due to insufficient funds, he is unable to fulfill his dream. He is sad as his girlfriend is leaving so his friend, Ricky (Gulshan Devaiah), cheers him up by taking him to a party. He then tells him that he can get him into the US college where his girlfriend is going to be, but there only one condition. To do that he will have to smuggle a few packets of cocaine along with him. At first he disagrees but then he finally agrees and gets cocaine sealed in his bags. At the airport he successfully passes the X-ray machine and is all set to leave.
The story then flashes back a few years and introduces us to ACP Vishnu Kamath (Abhishek Bachchan). Kamath is a corrupt cop who accepts a lot of bribes in order to satisfy his family. But one day it turns out that life takes revenge from him and his family dies in a car accident. Then back to the present year, he is offered a job by the Chief Minister of Goa. The job is to flush out all the drug gangsters in Goa. He accepts the job and forms a team who helps him with the case. According to Goa Police Department, the drug supply in Goa is distributed in four parts. One is the Russian Drug Mafia, the other is Nigerian, then English and the final one is the local people of Goa. First they attack the Russian Region, then carry on with Nigeria and England and the local. This leads to a panic ang the drug suppliers and as a result Rave Parties are cancelled and the drug supply comes to a halt. The drug dealers gather for a meeting lead by Zoey (Bipasha Basu). Zoey guarantees them that their drugs will be in safe hands, if they give them away to a person named Michael Barbosa, a person who has no identity and ves like a shadow and has helped them out for ages. All of the Drug dealers agree with Zoey. This frustrates Kamath as he is unable to get to the drugs. So he decides to chase Michael Barbosa in order to get the drugs. He finds out Via his sources about of the drug dealer named Ricky. Ricky is all set with Lorry to smuggle drugs to USA, but when Kamath reaches out for Ricky, he is already dead. Kamath and his cops check out Ricky’s apartment where they find out about him smuggling cocaine to USA, they also find out about his Live-in girlfriend named Rozanna who is from Brazil and once used to see Lorry. So with all this information they reach the Goa International Airport on the same day when Lorry is about to leave. At the airport Kamath encounters Rozanna, Ricky’s girlfriend and identifies her as she had been wearing the same kind of a bra that they previously found in Ricky’s apartment. The Cops detain Rozanna and check her bile phone. Kamath finds out a photo of Lorry in Rozanna. She is allowed to go after she is found innocent. Later, when Kamath and his cops are searching the airport for the drug dealer, Kamath identifies Lorry as the person he had seen in Rozanna’s phone. They then detain him and on searching his luggage they find out 2kg out cocaine stuffed in his bag.
Later, Lorry is sent to Juvenile House where he becomes shy and loses faith in himself. Meanwhile Lorry’s friend, DJ Joki (Rana Daggubati) tries to get him out. It is then revealed that Zoey and Joki used to date each other since a long time. Zoey was interested in being an air hostess but failed. So Joki introduces her to his boss Lorsa Biscuta a.k.a. the Biscuit (Aditya Pancholi), The boss of Drug dealing in Goa having worldwide contacts. With the help of his contacts, Biscuit gets her an international job in airlines. But she has to pay a price for this. Zoey will have to smuggle Cocaine to international regions five times. Unfortunately Zoey ends up being caught with cocaine worth 80 Lakhs in her luggage and get punished for 14 years in jail. But Biscuit’s contact gets her free in 14 days and for that she has to sleep with Biscuit. She then ves on breaking up with Joki and leads her life into drug dealing along with Biscuit. Meanwhile, Kamath carries on with the investigation on who is Michael Barbosa. It takes him to ship where he fights all the gangsters but misses out on Barbosa. This leads him no where.
Sometime later Joki unexpectedly meets Zoey. He asks Zoey to help him out with Lorry. He tries his best to get Barbosa but fails. Zoey at first denies him and asks him to leave but finally Joki convinces her and they both end up sleeping together. Zoey helps him out by giving him a video recording of Biscuit announcing that he is going to throw a huge party in some jungle of Karnataka and at that party Michael Barbosa will be bringing all the drugs which he had with him and will be exchanged at the party. Joki gives this tape to ACP Kamath. Meanwhile, when Biscuit comes to know about the on going relationship between Zoey and Joki, he gets so furious that he kills her. Kamath gets his troops ready but in order to identify Barbosa he needs somebody’s help and that somebody will be Lorry. He goes to Juvenile House and asks Lorry about Barbosa. Lorry is scared to answer and this fear makes matters much worse. So Kamath asks him to write down everything even the smallest of the small details about how he was trapped by Ricky into Drug smuggling, and with the help of that he will figure out who Michael Barbosa is. Kamath gets Lorry’s Letter and then he attacks Biscuits party in Karnataka. He quickly reads out Lorry’s letter and comes to the final conclusion of the entire Drug Racket. After arresting the Drug dealers and the gangsters. While returning back, Kamath’s team mate asks him about Barbosa, he gives him lorry’s letter and tells him Barbosa exists in that very letter. Kamath’s team mate after reading the letter understands and asks for forgiveness. He then fires his gun and kills Kamath. It is then revealed that his teammate was always involved with Biscuit and the whole story fits in place. But still Michael Barbosa is the missing link. Later Joki finds out about Kamath’s death and arrives at the crime scene. He finds a postcard next to Kamath’s body. Joki then goes to the graveyard where Zoey was cremated and all of a sudden it clicks and he solves the entire mystery. He notices a grave named ‘Micheal Barbosa’. Then he remembers Kamath telling him about Barbosa already being dead. He realizes that Barbosa is just a dead name used for channelising the supply of drugs and misleading the cops. He goes there and opens the grave and finds packets of cocaine, heroine and other drugs. he then calls up Biscuit and says that if he wants his drugs back then he will have to clear all the records of his and Lorry’s. Later he calls up Kamath’s killer and team mate and asks him to come with him to a spot where he has hid all the packets of drugs. Joki takes him to the same place where Kamath was murdered and kills him there too.

Dhobi Ghat had its world premiere in September 2010 at the Toronto International Film Festival.[7] It was released in cinemas on 21 January 2011.

Dhobi Ghat Review:
The film begins with Arun (Aamir Khan), a reclusive dern art painter, looking for a new house to shift into. He is seen with a real-estate agent, and finally decides upon a particular home in the older part of Mumbai, this being as per his wish. Arun is introduced to his landlady, an old woman who has never spoken a word for several years, and who seems to have an expression of deep sadness and melancholy on her face. He makes preparations to ve in soon.
Later, Arun attends an art exhibition featuring his works. The exhibition features a visitor named Shai (Monica Dogra), an American banker who is on a sabbatical from her work and has come to Mumbai to research on traditional occupations, business prospects in South Asia and to generally devote time to her hobby, photography. There, she meets Arun personally after the latter gives a nervous and reluctant speech to the gathered crowd about his work. The two get along well, and Arun takes Shai to his home, where they involuntarily end up in bed. The next rning, Arun apologizes for making the incident seem to be “re than a relationship”, at which Shai gets angry and storms out of the apartment.
Just after Shai leaves, Munna (Prateik Babbar) delivers Arun’s laundry to him. Munna, whose real name is Zohaib, is a ‘dhobi’- a washerman, who dreams about getting a break in Bollywood as an actor. He is a migrant from Bihar, and lives in a slum near the railway tracks. Arun informs Munna that he is changing his house.
The next day, Arun ves into his new apartment. While he is unpacking his things into the cupboards, he chances upon certain belongings tied up in a small bag which had been left by the previous tenants of the apartment. He keeps them with him, and later investigates the contents of the bag. The bag is found to contain a silver chain, a ring and three video tapes. The tapes are labelled “First Letter”, “Second Letter” and “Third Letter”. The “First Letter” also has the name Yasmin written on it, suggesting that these tapes belonged to her. In the evening, Arun plays a part of the “First Letter”. The tapes turn out to be a recording of Yasmin communicating with her brother, who studies elsewhere, through video tapes. In the tape, Yasmin shows herself, her husband and her apartment, which is the same as the one Arun is occupying now. Yasmin wishes her brother luck for his exams and exchanges general pleasantries with him.
The next rning, Arun is informed by his manager Vatsala (Kitu Gidwani) that his work has received praise from certain corporates, who have decided to open an art gallery in Sydney featuring his works. Arun is greatly surprised and pleased by this news, as this will be his first international exhibition. This also gives him a chance to visit his divorced wife and children, who have settled in Australia. In view of this new exhibition, he begins work on a new painting which is inspired by Yasmin.
It turns out that Munna also delivers laundry to Shai’s house. Their first meeting is not friendly because of Shai’s bad od over Arun, but she tries to make up for it later when she sees Munna with some of his friends at a theatre. Soon, they grow to become good friends, and Munna agrees to show Shai around the city of Mumbai, and help her gather photographs about the occupations of the poor. In return, Shai agrees to shoot a portfolio of Munna so as to help him out in getting a foothold in the film industry.
As the film progresses, Arun sees re and re of Yasmin’s tapes and comes to know re about her. It is revealed that Yasmin is from Uttar Pradesh, and had recently married to a little-speaking man. They shifted to Mumbai, and rented the apartment. The same landlady is shown, with the same silence and expression of melancholy. Yasmin declares that since her brother cannot visit Mumbai soon, she herself would help him tour Mumbai using the video tapes. At the same time, Arun still feels guilty about Shai.
Shai finds out that Munna also delivers laundry to Arun, and obtains his new address from him. One night, she goes to the road where Arun lives, but remains in her car to see if Arun comes out. She reveals to an accompanying friend that she hasn’t completely lost interest in Arun, and feels that there is some “unfinished business”. Shai wishes to be close to Arun, and so she rents a house opposite to Arun’s from where she can have a clear view of Arun’s house and of whatever he does inside. Arun, however, is unaware of this.
Arun’s painting starts taking shape, and he continues seeing Yasmin’s tapes. Meanwhile, Munna is still struggling to find work in the industry. To earn a living, he washes clothes by day and kills rats by night. He disapproves of his brother’s illegal ways of earning fast cash, and prefers to have an honest job. However, they both are very close and Munna’s brother uses his underworld contacts to try get Munna a break in the industry. Subsequently, he receives the photos of his portfolio from Shai, and thinks of sending them to a producer whom his brother contacted. During all this, Munna has been showing Shai the different facets of Mumbai – it’s labourers, the shoe polishers, the fish markets, and Dhobi Ghaat (where Munna works). As time goes by, Munna develops feelings for Shai but is unable to express them, partly because of his shyness and partly because of his low stature in life. Shai’s housekeeper also advices Shai to keep away from Munna.
The next day, Shai is returning to her apartment when she suddenly sees Arun walking towards her. Inspite of a hurried attempt to hide herself, Arun finds her and invites her to his house. There, he again apologises to Shai about that night, and they again reaffirm their friendship. At that ment, Munna arrives to deliver the laundry and sees them together. Mistaking the situation, he becomes dejected and feels betrayed. However, Shai rushes back to him, understanding that he was unpleasantly surprised, and reassures him to keep helping her out. Munna finally agrees.
On the day when they Munna is to visit the producer, a man arrives at the producer’s office and tells Munna’s brother that the “Boss” is calling him for dinner, and may offer a protion. There is a veiled threat in the proposition, clearly signalling that this was not a request. They scrap the plans to visit the producer that day, and Munna goes back to kill rats. However, Shai, who is still continuing her photography, sees Munna. The latter becomes frightened and runs away from her.

The film, No One Killed Jessica is based on the true story of Jessica Lall, a Delhi-based del, who was shot in 1999 at a New Delhi restaurant by Manish Bhardwaj, alias Manu, the son of an influential Haryana politician.
Jessica, along with actor and del Vikram Jai Singh, was closing the restaurant’s bar for the evening when approached by Manu and two friends. Infuriated by Jessica’s refusal to serve them drinks after the bar closed, Manu fatally shoots Jessica. The powerful family connections of the accused intimidated witnesses. It then became an uneven battle between Jessica’s family, especially her sister Sabrina and the politically-backed and influential family of the accused.
In February 2006, the court acquitted Manu and other accused due to lack of sufficient evidence setting off a public outcry and widespread protests. The backlash from the initial acquittal forced the re-opening of the investigation. In December 2006, Manu was found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment.

‘Dil Kabaddi’ Hindi Movie Review:

In the present age of instant attractions and repulsions, seven years is a painfully long time for the post-marital itch to set in. Husbands with roving eyes and reluctant wives often get a kick of hormones to indulge in some extra-marital sexual adventures. Bold though it may sound, this is the theme of Dil Kabaddi , a sex comedy revolving around the tangled lives of two married couples.

amit ( Irrfan Khan ) and Mita ( Soha Ali Khan ) are married but not made for each other.

He loves to experiment in bed and wants a sexually aggressive wife, but Mita is an intellectual who cherishes delicate moments of love and wants to go slow with her sexually impatient husband.

Expectedly, Irrfan falls for his curvy aerobics instructor ( Payal Rohatgi ) who is a sex bomb with a defused intellect.

The wedge in Samit and Mita’s marriage forces their friends Rishi ( Rahul Bose ) and Simi ( Konkona Sen Sharma ) to ponder over their dull married life. Deep within, Rishi, a professor, is tormented (pleasantly though) by sexual fantasies about his student Raga (Saba), while Simi, an agony aunt for a magazine, finds herself getting attracted to Veer ( Rahul Khanna ), an art director nursing a heart break. But, willy-nilly, Simi ends up playing a matchmaker between Veer and Mita (Soha).

How this tangle of adulterous flings plays out for each character is what ‘Dil Kabaddi’ is about.

Director Anil Senior takes inspiration from Wood Allen’s ‘Husbands and Wives’ and gives it a desi spin by tilting the story more towards sex than relational complexities. ‘Dil Kabaddi’ starts off pretty well but gets repetitive in the second half when you find the same ribaldry being played out over again in different situations. The story keeps spiraling in circles till the fag end when the director probably realizes that the freaking plot is heading nowhere and tries to give it a definitive direction.

What keeps your interest from waning is the performances by Irrfan Khan, Konkona Sen and Soha. Irrfan appears as if he’s just had a shot of the world’s most potent aphrodisiac, while Soha is effectively restrained and uptight. Konkona is highly expressive and Rahul Bose manages to impress despite his accented dialogue delivery. Rahul Khanna seems laidback and disinterested in his role. Payal Rohatgi fits the role of a bimbo who stimulates passion in the opposite sex.

‘Dil Kabaddi’ does have a few funny sequences, but overall the film fails to deliver what it promised. It neither gives you ample laughs, nor does it sex you up. And that’s a pity.

‘Maharathi’ Hindi Movie Review:

Good performances alone do not a film make. You need equally deft direction to transform a good script into a cinematic experience worth spending time and money on. ‘Maharathi’, alas, turns out to be yet another case of missed opportunity. The film, based on a long-running Gujarati play, is a situational thriller with many a twist in its winding trajectory.

It has a plot which is essentially suited to the theatre format, and to adapt it to celluloid was always going to be a daunting task for the screenplay writer and director.  

The movie tells the story of a petty crook Subhash ( Paresh Rawal ) who saves the life of a rich man Adenwala ( Naseeruddin Shah ) and gets the job as his driver. An ex filmmaker who’s drinking himself to death, Adenwala is married to a young pretty but fiery wife Mallika ( Neha Dhupia ) who’s favorite pastime seem to be squandering her alcoholic husband’s wealth.

Tired of his messed up life, Adenwala commits suicide and leaves behind a whopping insurance sum which the surviving players — his wife, driver, lawyer ( Boman Irani ) and caretaker ( Tara Sharma ) – want to get their hands on. But there’s one problem. They would have to turn the suicide into murder. And somebody has to be the fall guy.

Also in the fray is a sharp-witted cop ( Om Puri ).

On paper – and even on stage – the story sounds quite riveting. But on the big screen, the film turns out to be a ho-hum affair. Even though the performances are brilliant, the build-up in the plot is disjointed and, to some extent, erratic. The trouble lies in director Shivam Nair’s telling. Since the story is adapted from a play, long single shots might have been used better to lend intensity and gravity to the unfolding drama.

The actors don’t disappoint. Paresh Rawal is the pivotal player flanked by an improved Neha Dhupia (only when she’s not yelling her lungs out) and a convincing Tara Sharma. Naseer, expectedly, towers over all, while Om Puri has a briefer role.

Despite such a talented ensemble, director Shivam Nair botches up ‘Maharathi’ with his shoddy direction, giving you only a few edge-of-the-seat moments in this thanda thriller.

Nothing great about this ‘Maharathi’.
